Synopsis

Maya Malloy left her hometown of Baltimore to pursue her dream of becoming a New York investigative journalist while her younger sister Candace stayed home as they slowly grew apart.

Years later, Candace is diagnosed with a terminal illness and committed to a local hospital shrouded in controversy. By the time Maya returns to be at her bedside, Candace disappears and is last seen diving into the Baltimore harbor.

Maya suspects foul play when she uncovers hidden secrets at the hospital, but her investigation takes an unexpected turn when Candace emerges from the water days after she went missing and appears different than how Maya remembers her.
